Megan Teresi
Future Educator

Hello,
a bit about me:
I am a recent graduate from the University of Northern Iowa studying elementary education with endorsements in math and literacy. This Spring semester I have worked as a substitute teacher in the Western Des Moines school districts. Through this, I been able to fine tune behavior management strategies as well as become a more flexible and adaptable teacher through attending to the needs of the teachers, the schools, and the students. Through my field experiences, I have had the opportunity to work in rural, suburban, and urban settings with diverse groups of students in terms of ability, ethnicity, language backgrounds, and home cultures. In my student teaching assignment in a fourth grade class, there was a broad range of educational levels and several students who required special services. Working with these students provided me additional experience differentiating instruction to meet the needs of all students.
"Of all the beginning teachers I've worked with the past 35 years, I would rate her in the top 7% because of her initative and her ability to work with students and staff."

"The school district that hires her will gain an energetic, collaborative, creative teacher who will work hard to ensure her students reach their potential both academically and socially. Megan possesses all the key traits that will make her a great asset to any staff; flexibility, diligence, broad knowledge and experience in educational settings, practice with a wide range of instructional and management strategies and tools and most importantly, a love of teaching and children."
